Newcastle Famous Tram
Everything about Newcastle’s Famous
Tram is unique. Built from scratch
in 1994, the tram is a genuine
replica of the original Newcastle
working tram, which was in service
in 1923.
Newcastle's Famous Tram has become a
tourist 'icon' within Newcastle and
the Hunter Valley.
It is a novel and nostalgic way to
visit Newcastle’s historic city
during weekdays and the Hunter
Valley Vineyards on the weekends.
The famous tram is available for
Hunter Valley wine tours, weddings,
school formals, christmas parties,
social club and birthday party
transfers.

Fighter World
Patrons of
Fighterworld
are welcome to use the Observation
Deck attached to our main hangar
building to view the day to day
operations of Williamtown airfield.
The airfield is Australia's Premier
fighter aircraft base and home to
all of Australia's fighter aircraft
squadrons.
Williamtown also hosts Newcastle's
Civil Airport which services large
areas of NSW with civilian flights
to most destinations around
Australia.
The video clip at right shows a
brief sample of the daily duties of
the resident squadrons.
Williamtown RAAF base also has
training units that bring trainee
aircrew up to the highest levels of
operational readiness using both BAE
Hawk and FA -18 fighter aircraft.

Huntervalley Vineyards
Australia’s oldest wine region is
also the home of some of the world’s
most distinctive and outstanding
wines. The most recognised of these
is Hunter Valley Semillon, a truly
remarkable wine that has been called
‘Australia’s unique gift to the
world’. Hunter Valley Shiraz is also
well-known. It is a medium bodied
and savoury wine that pairs
extremely well with food and, much
like Hunter Valley Semillon, ages
gracefully. Other outstanding
varieties are Chardonnay and
Verdelho.
